A family business. they have the best “Käsespätzle” for only 11€ and they fill as often as desired. the best is to go with a group and have them from a bowl and share with all. the staff is very friendly and fast...

We were a couple of times, the first time we were just by chance and then we were happy to find it again! wonderful eating, including bright fresh vegetables, helpful friendly staff and spectacular views. the eiskreations are amazing. a must if they are in the opposite (hopefully sitting on a warm summer day on the terrace).

Driving 30 minutes from Egg to the restaurant 'Kanisfluh Berghaus" which locats just near the famous rocky mountain Kanisfluh turned a very nice lunch. Vist [email protected] The view is wonderul facing the big rock wall of Kanisfluh. And we enjoyed the local food and the big ice cream. It was in the middle of March, still lots of snow but the terras was sunny and warm. Several local couples were there sitting n enjoying Austrian luch. Schnitzel was good. The pork steak with mashroom cream sauce was just fine. The cooked beef with apple cream with horse radish was the best which was recommended by the staff. This was one of the best lunch in Austria. We were the first time in this Berghaus which consists of a hotel and a traditional restaurant. The owners and the service were very friendly. The place was rather busy and we were the only foreigners. The two of us each enjoyed a Wienerschnitzel with French fries and a mixed salad. All good quality and honest food at a great price. The restaurant is a casual sit down service with views to the valley and the almost monumental Kanisfluh mountain on the other side. The final bit of the road which leads to the restaurant is narrow and in parts one lane only. However, it is worth the trip if you are in the area.
