We were delighted to dine at each yesterday (Saturday, July 23, 2022). All three of us ordered lasagna with extra toppings and we all agreed that it was excellent. Well done. We also enjoyed the personalized service, especially from Marcie, my favorite Irish lady. It was a surprise to learn she is actually American. Shout out to Keith, Garry, and John as well. What Andrew doesn't like about The Angel:
That hadn't my reservation for 6 were very rude. So I wiped my feet on the way out and found a great restaurant pub elsewhere. Never going there again. 1 star is generous. View all feedback.
This is the kind of classic pub that deserves your patronage. With a charming atmosphere, delicious food and drinks at affordable prices, excellent service, and free WiFi, what's not to love? I highly recommend it.
We enjoyed a delicious lunch at this charming, traditional country pub after a scenic walk in the area. The menu offers a variety of main meals, light bites, and daily specials, with the option of a Sunday roast featuring a choice of meats. The prices are reasonable, and during our visit, desserts were only £4.50 - a great value. I highly recommend the Toffee Apple crumble! Although the food is made to order, the wait is worth it. We dined in the cozy bar area with a roaring fire, but there is also a more formal dining room available. The staff are friendly and attentive, creating an excellent dining experience. Well-behaved dogs are welcome, adding to the pub's lovely atmosphere. With plenty of nearby walking trails, you can build up an appetite before your meal. Check their website for upcoming events, such as beer festivals. Our group of five, including a furry friend, had a relaxing lunch with delicious food and great company - we will definitely be back.
This pub is excellent for customers, with a welcoming atmosphere and delicious food. I highly recommend trying the suet puddings, perfect comfort food for the winter months. I would definitely recommend this pub.
