Update April 2022: Unfortunately, this restaurant is now closed. However, I must say it had the best Sunday roast I've had in a long time. I chose the pork, which was incredibly juicy and perfectly cooked. My friend had the beef and another friend had the torte, both of which looked amazing. This excellent pub serves delicious, hearty classic British dishes. If only more pubs kept it simple and honestly served such good food as they do here! After reading reviews, we decided to visit for dinner and were not disappointed. The family running the pub was very welcoming. The menu was great, and they even had options for our two-year-old in a smaller portion size so he could enjoy a high-quality meal too. We tried the tarts, ham and chips, roulade, and bread and butter pudding, all of which were very tasty with decent portions. Surprisingly cheap as well. Definitely worth dining here, you won't be disappointed.
Excellent food, very cheap. great customer service. will definitely go back!
Friendly family pub. Home cooked delicious food. Dog friendly. Definitely recommend
When my wife and I moved to the village in August 2016, this pub quickly became our go-to spot. It's a family-run establishment that truly makes you feel at home. The food they serve is top-notch, all homemade and incredibly fresh. We especially love their Steak Night on Thursdays, which offers high-quality dishes at reasonable prices, as well as Pie Night on Tuesdays. The pub also boasts a beautiful garden and an impressive selection of quality beers. Overall, it's definitely a place worth visiting.
Fantastic dog friendly pub and greeted with a friendly welcome from the landlord. The main course was brilliant lovely home cooked food and piping hot. Dessert was unbelievable and the meal was topped off with impeccable service. Well worth a visit or two.
