Diners praise the generous portion sizes and reasonable prices that don’t compromise on quality. While some have noted inconsistencies—such as slower service during busy times and occasional dryness in grilled meats—the vibrant flavors and attentive staff make a lasting impression. Many patrons rave about the delectable hot piri-piri sauce and commend the restaurant’s commitment to authenticity. Overall, Betty’s is celebrated as a must-visit for food lovers seeking delicious, hearty dishes amidst cozy, albeit chilly, surroundings.
My friend and I had a lovely lunch there , tasty piri piri chicken, not huge portions, but very reasonable prices ,lovely attentive waiter only 4 stars as very cold in there , everyone in there kept their coats on , but will definitely go back , oh and great coffee too !!
Food was brilliant, ordered a whole chicken piri piri between 2 of us with loads of chips and rice with it, and salad. Very reasonable price and friendly staff.
During our visit to Thetford to watch Portugal play Uruguay in the World Cup, we had a great time at Betty's. Despite Portugal's loss, we enjoyed a very warm welcome in either English or Portuguese, along with a fantastic atmosphere and delicious piri-piri chicken. The meal was also good value for the quality. We look forward to returning to try the fish dishes in the future.
I eat at Betty's all the time. The food is good and priced very well. You can get a whole piri-piri chicken and two sides for just 10 quid!
I've ordered by delivery numerous times the food quality never disappoints! Generous portion sizes reasonable prices. The only downer is at times delivery times can be quite slow but appreciate I mostly order on the weekend at busy times. However the food makes it worth the wait, just be prepared it may not arrive in 20 mins like some fast foods. I would definitely recommend it though.
