Lakeview Bistro - Brechin

We had a tasty dinner, a cast iron cashew chicken plate for my partner and a pad thai with chicken and shrimp (made vegetarian for me . The food was quite tasty, but I feel (very strongly!! that if a dish is made without meat, you should either provide a substitute (e.g. tofu, as this menu is pretty heavy on the Asian side or cut the price.

We stopped by for lunch the dock for guest boats is filthy and very poorly maintained. We ordered take out and when the server handed us the bags she laughed and joked about them feeling so light. Well, we opened the containers to find laughable serving sizes of very disgusting and old tasting calamari $12 per serving for those probably were the worst rip off I’ve came across at a long restaurant The halibut and chips were also very small and tasted old, soggy. Overall a lousy experience, hopelessly overpriced and we definitely will not consider another visit.

A nice restaurant on the harbour at Lagoon City (Brechin), Ontario. Great place to hang out and soak up the atmosphere. Very relaxing. Service was a bit lack-lustre, but the food was good. I had the lasagna with a salad, and my wife had the fish and chips. They have a fair choice of Asian dishes, like Pad Thai. We enjoyed it and would go back again.

It is a beautiful spot with a nice view from the patio over the water. Lots of seating. There is wonderful potential for this restaurant for a nice quiet lunch or dinner, or for guests from out of town looking to be impressed in Simcoe County Unfortunately there were many disappointments for our romantic dinner-for-two ... 1. First time we went we were told we couldn't come in because we didn't have a reservation (the dining room was empty ... hmmm) 2. Second time we went, we made a reservation after calling back twice and leaving messages which they never returned. When we arrived, the place was still a ghost town. 3. After the waitress seated us she took our orders, and we enjoyed our drinks while we waited. 5. However, the food was delivered by a different person, and when I asked why my order didn't come with the veggie and the side that was described on the menu, he quickly replied that my choice of entree never comes with veggies AND a side (he was short with me, and argued a bit, and I felt very embarrassed) 6. Finally, the portions were small, prices were high, and flavor was mediocre to poor It was disappointing. The location is great, the restaurant is beautiful, its too bad the service is not in step with the potential of the restaurant. We also expected the food to be much better for the prices that they charged.

Stopped on having a little higher hopes Food was brutal I don’t know why we stayed The staff was fine and accommodating but the food served was horrible Kids food is what you want to order came hit and on time lol I don’t even know what to compare the food to other than a pit luck lol And the amount of bugs in the place was nuts they should have provided bug spray and a swatter This place has too much potential and comes up too short
