The Saturday live music and dancing had good energy- the cover charge is $15 now. It was so packed you can’t hear a conversation. I sat on the patio to eat breakfast and was out of sight and forgotten. The waitress steered me away from the chicken and waffles bc the waffle is thick rather than thin and crispy. I cannot recommend the Ti Na Na- it’s an uneven pizza: the thick toppings are piled high and the dough benea... View all feedback.
What sheldon Loupe doesn't like about Buck Johnny's: Eclectic Italian With A Cajun Flair Phone Number, Reservations, Reviews:
When advertising yourself as eclectic Italian you 'd better deliver. But unfortunately did not. I wanted to try simple Italian dish....meatsauce over pasta, 2 added meatballs. Sauce was rather sour with an almost spoiled milk taste. Meatballs were dry, plain, very ordinary. Not very appealing to the pallet. And please, bring dinner salad before main course is served. Not at the same time. I want to enjoy my salad fir... View all feedback.
Visited for Zydeco brunch on Saturday. Great music, friendly folks, good food and a lot of fun! I wish I could go every weekend.
Not all the musical acts here are worth even walking through the door...psa...playing music to pre recorded tracks is not playing music..yet you still book them lol
I was really excited to try this place. We came here with a group of six. Everything with shrimp in it (pasta and wraps) was way over cooked, very chewy. The fried fish was just okay, the salads were good. Not a lot of options for kids. My in laws were not impressed with any of the Cajun dishes.
We had an enjoyable late lunch after a long bike ride. Large open space with large tables and plenty of room between them. Service was a tad slow but the food was worth the wait. We both ordered fried shrimp Caesar wraps and devoured them.
I ordered a bowl of chicken and sausage gumbo. When they brought it to the table, it was so thin looking. I kinda had a feeling it wasn’t gonna taste too good. That was the worst gumbo I’ve ever had anywhere in my life. You can tell they didn’t even use a roux in it. I have gotten better gumbo out of Louisiana and in Breaux Bridge How can they even think that would pass for gumbo? Besides, it was so thin with no roux There was hardly any chicken and sausage in it. Most of the food I have gotten from Buck and Johnny’s has been really good please if you want a decent meal do not get the chicken and sausage gumbo.
