Contribute FeedbackTAPS restaurant offers a mixed bag of experiences according to recent reviews. While some customers praised the service, steaks, and sushi, others were disappointed by the inconsistency in food quality and closure of all TAPS locations. Complaints ranged from bland entrees to disappointing desserts and lacking non-alcoholic beverage options. Despite these varied experiences, some diners highlighted memorable dishes like the Miso Marinated Sea Bass and perfectly cooked Surf and Turf. Overall, TAPS seems to offer a range of experiences, from excellent meals to disappointing encounters, making it a hit-or-miss dining destination.
We enjoyed a dinner here with a group of companies during a recent visit. It was close to our hotel, had a good selection of tap beer and everyone at the table enjoyed the food. For dinner I kept it easy and ordered the beet and goat cheese salad (see picture) and would highly recommend it! For dessert, some of us shared a cream broth... and it is also highly recommended! Had lunch here recently. The food was great, the customer service was also good. Helios was our bartender server. He was patient and gave great recommendations. We ordered the Chilean sea bass with carb-free substitutions (padded Brussels Sprudels). The taste was good. The sauce really did the meal. We also had The Rainbow Salat, Clam Chowder an order of the wings as well as 3 shots and 3 cocktails (it was happy hour! . There were no complaints about the salad, but my companion shaved over the Chowder. The wings were not baked and cooked well, as I like. The food was good, but the portions were not great. After we paid (about $184, Helios said he'd check in on us. Later we decided to order another round of drinks. We realized that we didn't really need the drinks, so we were looking for Helios to cancel the order if the drinks were not yet made. We asked another waitress who could talk to someone. A few minutes later he still returned to answer the question, so we decided to go and let him know how we came by. He seemed to talk to a manager so we could just know and leave him. He gave an explanation, but it wasn't a big deal and we were ready to go. I would still recommend returning for a light meal in the future.
The sea bass was halved while the price rose. For years, we have not even needed a menu because it is oysters and seabass. Our server wasn't normal either. The hot food was on the table like the appetizers. Which means rushing through so your main course will not be cold seriously typing what is going on here. It won't go back with the service. Question how and who makes this great restaurant fall apart?
I've been here for a few years. Always the Chilean lake bass every time. It was absolutely delicious. Apparently they have changed most of their menus, including the bass. It was good, but definitely not as good as before. My bf is true too. So, now at $50 a meal for good not good I don't think we're back as often as we used to, if at all. I never understood why restaurants change recipes. If it is not broken, try not to fix it.
Perfect! I had the surf and turf. It was Amazing! That was the most perfectly cooked piece of beef I have Ever had in a restaurant. The filet had the smooth buttery texture of filet, with the incredible flavor of a rib eye. It was truly Perfect. The menu says 5oz tail; it came with a 10oz tail.
