Altes Forsthaus - Braunlage

Yeah, it was busy. Eating was bad, waiting long. it seemed that meat was not freshly cooked. the personal could not cope and not understand what customers said. very disappointing and expensive.

This restaurant serves typical food from the region Harz. As usual in Germany the plates are great and sufficient for big eaters . The restaurant is near the city center. It's a simple restaurant with a friendly staff. The prices are reasonable good for a...touristic environment.

We enjoyed meals here. In front it has old fashioned romantic atmosphere and in the back it has a room perfect for families with play area and toys! This located near the base station of the Wurmberg cable car at the north end of...town. The service is excellent but I am not sure they have an English language menu. The food is delicious, locally flavored, and the venison and elk meat is wonderful. The first meal was so good that we came back the next day. They are open days a week and many other restaurants in town are not. They also rent rooms and are extremely child friendly. German hospitality at its best!

Pfifferlings and the much and delicious. a delicious dinner. very friendly service and rustic atmosphere. we recommend this restaurant.

The local is neat and clean, the personal friendly.We only ate there and sat on the terrace. it's loud from the road. the menu is neat. the food is only cut.
