I used to enjoy the vegan burritos and tacos at this restaurant, which were made with soy meat, vegan cheese, and vegan tacos. However, these options are no longer available. The only vegan choices now are the burrito (which can also be ordered as a burrito bowl) and the chili senza carne. The new sweet potato substitute, while cute, left me feeling uninspired. I used to enjoy the vegan burritos and tacos at this restaurant when they offered soy meat, vegan cheese, and vegan tacos. Unfortunately, they no longer have these options. The only vegan choices now are a burrito (which can also be ordered as a bowl) and chili sin carne. Instead of soy, they now use mashed sweet potato which I found to be uninspiring.
I decided to try this restaurant after seeing it all over my Instagram feed. Unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed. While some people may find their staff funny or cool, we were put off by the strong smell of marijuana and the fact that it took 25 minutes for 3 of our orders to be prepared because the employees seemed to be distracted. The restaurant had limited vegan and vegetarian options, and my veg burrito was the same price as my boyfriend's non-veg burrito, despite being half the size. I'm confident that I could make a better burrito at home. Additionally, the staff made awkward and rude comments about veganism.
The atmosphere of this cozy bistro is enjoyable and the concept is fun, with staff who like to joke around. I tried their vegan burrito, a variation of their classic burrito without meat and cheese. Unfortunately, it was too salty and smaller than expected. I paid 6 EUR for it, while I could have gotten a larger, more filling burrito at Vegan Kiosk just a few meters away for 5 EUR. I suggest the bistro adds more to their vegan burrito or makes it bigger to compete with other places in the area that serve bigger and better vegan options. However, I understand that catering to vegans may not be a priority for them. Although I think this bistro is great overall, I probably won't dine here again.
