Tempura Komachi - Braşov

Very unfortunate first experience at this restaurant. Upon arrival we were informed that no cocktails and only 2 beers were available from the drinks menu. For food we ordered vegetable tempura (marked "Vegan"), a pork ramen dish, and mushroom noodles. The vegan tempura came with fish sauce and the ramen contained seafood instead of pork. The mushroom dish was acceptable but rather salty. We were not informed of the changes that had been made to our order until we queried it with the waitress after our meals had arrived. She then explained that they had changed the recipe as pork wasn't available. Luckily none of us are allergic to seafood and our vegan friend did not eat any of the fish sauce that came with his meal. Upon trying to order desserts we were told that only one of them was available so we left without dessert. Allergy information is available at the back of the menu but it isn't easy to find and if a meal is marked vegan it's fair to expect it to be so. Upon pointing out these (potentially dangerous) issues we were informed that there had been a mistake but no compensation was offered. Would not return and would warn vegans, vegetarians and allergy sufferers to beware. It was a shame because the potential is there; a lovely terrace in a nice part of town, a great menu and friendly service. What a shame.

This lovely little restaurant is a short walk away from the main square in Brasov (2-3mins). The waiter was very friendly and asked us about our trip and gave us useful tips for looking round Brasov. We had the 48 piece sushi platter between the two of us, very tasty, good quality and excellent value too! Would highly recommend this place.

We got to hear from our friend that we should not miss this place and I am glad about this recommendation! The place is easy to miss, and it is small, but during the summer it is nice to eat out on the 2nd floor. We ate the 'Take courses' for dinner with wine and sake, topped up with the chocholate banana desert. We could not have been happier with our choise, because we were not (again) able to decide what to eat. If I am ever back in Brasov, I will definetely go back. Fullfilling dinner for sure, and very nice personnel!

This small restaurant has about 6 tables so it really creates an intimate and personal experience. The staff are very friendly and the sushi is incredible.

Authentic japanese food! Good prices and portions, will definitely come back! The restaurant is tiny but the atmosphere is amazing. If you're in Brasov and looking for something else than romanian food definitely pay a visit to Tempura Komachi:)
