Festival 39 - Braşov

It is a cooler place to have a drink, but if I ask for the vegan options, the waiter said only dry, we are not a vegan place I'm sorry that I suspect they can have a frying and a side salad, but that they can get anywhere else.

We came on a busy Saturday night and were from what seemed the owner / manager. I asked for the vegan options and he looked confused after I repeated a few times he replied “No. there is nothing” and rushed away. we hope he may not have understood what vegan is meant. but over the menu there were 4 vegetarian main dishes and that is it. the only seemingly “safe” vegan option was the hummus and tabbouleh escape, so we just ordered that and some cocktails. Perhaps the menu has changed since I would read other dinge online would say that they had a vegan burrito, and the description here on happy cow says that workers can advise on vegan options, but that was definitiw not the case. it is a super lively popular place with a thema of 1930, jazz music, and good cocktails so worth a visit, just not for eating. *edit: we went back for drinks a few days later and noticed a page on the back of the menu with side dishes that we somehow did not see before. nothing essential, but they could probably order a few pages to make a meal. updated from previous review on 2018-10-22

The personal is very knowledgeable on vegan options. the menu labeled vegan burrito is delicious, but small and on the expensive side for Romanian food. the hummas appetizer is large, with extra pita brot order or they will run out. overall good option for downtown brasow.
