ordered several times, the chicken wings are good, but not great, they do not coat anything so that they do not remain crisp, but still pleasant. the chicken fingers were pretty good for French french fries seem always underused and soggy especially in poutine, we stopped ordering them. the deep fried pickles a pretty thin, so I find they get a little over boiled at places, but I order them lol overall I would recomm... I have a zöliakie, so I am very careful about where I eat. I contacted Goo’s to order food because the bright reviews about the safety of food for people with zöliakie. I explained my needs and the woman I spoke with seemed quite upset with my asking about the safety of food supplies. she said she can't make promises and will try to make it safe. within half an hour of eating the food was clear that I became gluten.... This restaurant offers a dedicated fryer for gluten-free items, allowing them to prepare gluten-free chicken fingers, fish and chips, poutines, and hamburgers on gluten-free buns. The food is delicious! However, it is not recommended to visit during lunch hour due to the high volume of students from the nearby high school. Additionally, the restaurant is closed on Sundays. Overall, it is an amazing option for takeout.
I experienced symptoms of gluten exposure after dining at this restaurant.
If you have celiac disease, I advise you to avoid this restaurant as the staff is not trained properly on gluten-free practices. I have been accidentally exposed to gluten three times already.
Ordered a number of times, The chicken wings are good but not great, they don’t coat in anything so they don’t stay crisp but still enjoyable. The chicken fingers were pretty good for gf. French fries seem to always be undercooked and soggy especially in poutine, we’ve stopped ordering them. The deep fried pickles a pretty thin so I find they get a little over cooked in places but I continue to order them lol overall I’d recommend these items as safe and a good greasy meal when I’m too lazy to cook. Never had a reaction to these items.
I have celiac disease, so I’m very cautious about where I eat. I contacted Goo’s to order food because of the glowing reviews about the safety of the food for people with celiac. I explained my needs and the lady I spoke with seemed fairly annoyed with my questions about the safety of food prep. She said she can’t make any promises and will try to make it safe. Within half an hour of eating the food, it was clear I was glutened. My stomach swelled up and was severely painful and I had celiac symptoms for days afterwards. I’m very disappointed since I was very excited for this place after reading the reviews. I would not recommend this place to people with celiac.
