Was James M at Proof Lounge At The Hilton Promenade a mag?
It was a quick getaway, but unfortunately, it went by too quickly! I loved the location and the staff were fantastic. The only minor issue was with the keycard a couple of times, but they resolved it promptly. View all feedback.

What Gary K dislikes about Proof Lounge At The Hilton Promenade:
After wandering around the shops with my friend, I decided to refresh the app, and suddenly saw that a room was available. However, it wasn't the one I had originally chosen, and once again, I hadn't received any notification. When I finally entered the room, I found it wasn't very clean. We are currently spending our third night here for the Branson Car Auction, which takes place in the convention center connected to this hotel.

**Pros:** The location is unbeatable for enjoying Branson. The room size was generous, and the staff—including Jeff, Morgan, Christi, and a random maintenance worker—were all fantastic. The valet service was convenient and the staff there maintained great energy, even in the heat. The indoor/outdoor pool was a hit, with the outdoor area lively and filled with music; families seemed to be having a great time. The conference center is excellent, and being attached to the hotel is a huge advantage. The restaurant provided wonderful service, a variety of excellent food options, and everything we tasted was delicious. The bar on the second floor has a great atmosphere, thanks to its fun bartenders. **Cons:** The air conditioning was a major issue. The staff at the night front desk was disappointing, particularly one male employee who claimed he couldn't add my Honors number to our reservation, despite my good status. Morgan managed to do it in just a couple of seconds the following morning. Our room had a musty and warm smell, largely due to the AC not functioning properly while the temperature was over 90 degrees. The AC only started working on our last night, thanks to the random maintenance worker who offered to help when we expressed our concerns in the hallway. Despite our multiple calls each day about the heat in our room—where we were told the engineer was on the roof and no fans were available—the issue went unresolved for quite some time. We ended up checking out early due to the AC problems, but Jeff handled our concerns excellently and provided great customer service. We heard that the rooms are scheduled for renovations in six months, which is promising.

However, it wasn't the one I had originally chosen, and once again, I hadn't received any notification. When I finally entered the room, I found it wasn't very clean. The wastebaskets hadn’t been fully emptied, and despite having multiple windows and a patio, the room felt quite dark. The furniture looked outdated, and the only available charging options were the old-style prongs, rather than modern plug-ins. Given the hotel's price, the parking fees, and its many rooms, I expected much better quality. On a positive note, the hotel is conveniently located directly across the street from a Starbucks!

I visited for Valentine's weekend and was thoroughly disappointed. As a diamond member, I expected more but felt let down. There was no option for early check-in or late check-out. The room I requested was unavailable because they hadn't cleaned it yet. The front desk staff was rude and unprofessional. They also charged for every little thing, and it's the only hotel where you can't borrow a luggage cart. Parking was inconvenient and quite a distance away. The restaurant was fully booked, and I couldn't make a reservation because they didn’t answer the phone, nor was the front desk any help. I ended up having to order room service since there were no other options available. The rooms were decent but nothing exceptional, definitely not worth the $700 total I paid for one night. I won't be returning.

The hotel in general is really clean and updated as you enter. They did an excellent job decorating for the holidays. As we entered our room though, there were several cosmetic issues. Head board was torn, sheets were stained and there was evidence of clear signs of wear on a couple places. We were disappointed from the amount of money spent vs. what we received. All in all okay stay but would of appreciated the attention to detail.
