The server turned us away because she s... read more The service wasn't very good but the food was. There were 2 tables with 4 seats each. My family and I were a party of 6. The server turned us away because she said there wasn't room for us but my mother asked if we could sit separately at the 2 tables;the server said it was fine so, we did. Another group came behind us and the server told them they could go on the patio towait. My family was never told about the patio. My family, which included 3 children and 3 adults each ordered a different mealand we each enjoyed it. Personally, I thought my fries were tasteless and I didn't love the texture but I thought the dressingand gravy were very tasty! I also had some of my family members nachos and they were very good. The server never checked inwith any of us during our meal and never told us how to pay for our meal when we were finished. I noticed there were 2 peoplewaiting to be seated and about a group of 6 also waiting. My family and I left our tables after eating so the server could cleanthem and seat the newcomers. The server seated the just 2 people at a table for 6 people and didn't clean off the other tablesof 4 and the group of 6 left the restaurant. I don't understand why the server couldn't seat the group of 6 at the table for 6,clean off a table for the 2 people and serve the 2 first since they were there first everyone wins. This of course is meassuming the group of 6 wanted to eat there and considering how my family and I were treated

We were visiting Cape St Mary's bird sanctuary and were recommended to go to Branch for lunch. it was so much fun and delicious. it is above a general store on... read more We were visiting Cape St Mary's bird sanctuary and were recommended to go to Branch for lunch. it was so much fun and delicious. it is above a general store on the main street. The two ladies who ran it were so accommodating as my friend is gluten free. not easy on the road in Newfoundland. they served him a cod tongue dinner that he very much enjoyed being a native Newfoundlander! And who could resist Blueberry Yum Yum , a local dessert made with wild fresh picked blueberries. i would go back in a minute!

This place has gorgeous views from bith sides of th... read more Not only The Loft was open before 11am, but the hostess was very welcoming and fed us a delicious breakfast! This place has gorgeous views from bith sides of the dining room. The set-up looks nodern, yet cozy and most importantly the food is delicious. Visit it on your way to see the Northern Gannets.
