Golden Shores Caribbean Restaurant

I was happy to see this restaurant pop up in my neighborhood, and wanted to show support to them bringing the taste of the Caribbean to the suburbs. However I have ate here on more than 1 occasion and after the last time I am officially never going back. The food has a weird taste, the only seasoning you taste is the salt. I have tried the fried chicken and it had no flavour and was dried out, the jerk was also flavourless and was salty, and the oxtail had the most salt of all!.The rice and peas was also sub-par. I really wanted to support this establishment but for the food not being great, the overly priced menu items are sure to also keep me away. For a small meal its $9+, other local Caribbean restaurants are at least $2 less.Salty food+ over priced...The only good thing was the lady who served me was nice and humble.

We went for the roti but my husband tried the jerk chicken and was not disappointed. The roti is excellent with chunks of chicken in a yummy spicy gravy. We have eaten roti and jerk chicken all over the Caribbean and here at home and this was one of the best. Keep up the good food!!

The food is consistently pretty great and the people are always friendly, which is important for me. The prices aren't bad either. My husband and i always order the oxtail and jerk chicken. Definitely my go-to when the Caribbean food cravings hit.

Wasn't bad at all. Rice and peas was really nice! I had the oxtail which was decent. Gonna go back and try some other dishes.

Been there several times, always for take out ! Always friendly , fast service . Roti is excellent, jerk chicken is very good! you can ask for extra spicey oxtail gravy if you prefere.
