I have been going here for a few years as I moved into the area. They have a small area where you can see the various hot foods they are serving as well as a large dessert fridge. The items in the ready made area...are different each time I go in. There are no labels on any of the hot foods so if you don’t know, you have to ask. The good thing for me is that they have been willing to explain the items and help me to... View all feedback.
What Koreen Bennett doesn't like about Friends Sweet Restaurant:
Son introduced me years ago. Food has been really good except this last two visits. Butter chicken Naan bread great. Usually spinach and cheese last few days. But spoiled on the second day. Disappointed ? that's the reason I go to this restaurant. View all feedback.
This place used to be very good. But No More. Friend’s Sweets was once our favourite Indian Restaurant for eating out or catering or for sweets since 2008 . We been to this place for uncountable times, always done catering from this place for our parties and suggested our friends and relatives to visits this place. But No More. There is continues decline in quality of material used for different dishes and sweets. Constantly continues degrade in taste due to some very bad quality of raw material used. Now how I can say that. Actually any Indian person who lived in north India can judge that if the bad taste of food is due to bad preparations and bad quality of ingredients used or bad recipe. Since it was our favourite Indian restaurant, so we tried suggesting the owner of the restaurant about the issues; many times. But No More. As they refuse to accept the suggestions leave alone trying improvements. Its seems they are either using some obnoxious material to replace dairy products and using some really bad quality spices. Both of these may cause some serious health issues. Their very best Channa Bhatura is now filled with smelly oil and made is really distasteful, same is the case with Paneer Pakora with some unpleasant and very strong tastes. Pani puri’s water has distinctly different and aweful taste. Palak Paneer taste like as if Ripinni is added to spinach and again paneer many time taste sour. Shahi Paneer become so much watery. Rice taste so much dry and awful. So, finally we gave-up. One more Indian Restaurant gone rutted to improve their saving but at what cost !!!!!
Recently visited this restaurant for some takeout. I have been at this establishment before and found it to be okIt's clean and bright and the area is laid out wellThis the food had some flavor but more on the bland side The samosas were just potato filled and nothing else. Not even spices and quite oily. The chicken fried rice was good. The chili chicken and tikka had little to no flavour I don't know if it was because of the lack of experience with youth only working in the kitchen and reception but there are plenty or other restaurants in the area I for one will seek out others for better service and food
One of my favourite restaurants. The thali is amazing tasting & the value is ridiculous. You can go there and eat a giant meal for under $10, fresh wonderful food. Highly recommend.
Horrible service, no respect for customers whatsoever. Ordered Chaat Papri to go, got home and noticed it was very plain, only topped with yogurt, potatoes, chickpeas and tamarind chutney. Called the restaurant asking why it was so plain and didn't have any coriander, onions, spices, green chutney. The owner came on the phone and said "this is how we make it, whether you come back or not I don't care, this is how we make it". No apologies, no concerns. Also found some small sort of stone or bone within the food. This place used to have good food and excellent service, used to enjoy eating here quite a bit, it has changed for the worse. It has become unhygienic and the service has gone out the door. I'm not a fan of leaving negative reviews, but the way the manager spoke to me over the phone put it over the top. Sorry "Friends Restaurant", you just lost a once-satisfied customer.

The items in the ready made area are different each time I go in. There are no labels on any of the hot foods so if you don’t know, you have to ask. The good thing for me is that they have been willing to explain the items and help me to learn about the various dishes. Rotis/naan are always made fresh. I have never eaten inside, there are only a handful of people inside when I go however the take out orders seem to be a steady stream.
