The Picture Pot Tea Shop - Braintree

This place is absolutely fantastic, we couldn't find any faults at all. We visited for lunch and had tea and sandwiches, which were fresh and delicious. Thank you all so much, we will definitely be coming back.

I visited this restaurant after reading the reviews for lunch with my children while on vacation in the area. What an amazing café! The service was lovely, the food was delicious, and the surroundings were beautiful. I even bought some lovely artworks from local artists as souvenirs to take home. I highly recommend this place!

It would be hard to find a more charming spot for a cafe than here. The village of Finchingfield is absolutely lovely, and this cafe fits right in. There are only a few tables inside, but there are more outside on the village green. One wall is adorned with old black and white pictures of movie stars, which will have you trying to name as many as you can. On the opposite wall, there is artwork for sale by a local artist, which I assume is where the cafe gets its name. I was attended to by two very polite young men, who were clearly enjoying the school holiday. They brought me a delicious cappuccino and a tasty slice of cake, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Overall, my experience here was just about perfect.

Lovely lunch on a sunny Saturday. Friendly service and efficient even though they were very busy. We just ate lunch this time, but have sampled the wonderful cakes on a previous visit. Excellent!

Lovely little team room in a delightful setting. Ordered a ham sandwich and the bread was from a really fresh uncut loaf and ham very tasty. Cakes looked delicious..next time!
