I go there when my wife gives blood down the road. Tonight it was quiet, beautifully clean and with new menu boards. Ordered cod and chips x 2. All cooked fresh and when the cod was being wrapped up, it looked good. But when we got home and eat the meal, the cod was spectacular, crisp skin and beautifully flaky fish, a triumph. The delivery driver banged on the front door like a bailiff the fish was swimming in grease on the bottom but the batter was so hard and burnt on the top,i literally cracked it open only to find a small dry grey in colour piece of fish,supposedly cod View all feedback.
This restaurant serves the best fish and chips in the area. The fish is always fresh and never greasy. The chips are also the best I've ever tasted. The staff is wonderful as well.
Food is absolutely delicious since the new owners took over in September. Always cooked fresh , the family always comment on how crispy and golden the batter is on the fish and sausages. Portion sizes are always generous. The staff are all friendly and ready to help with any requests.
The delivery driver knocked on the front door loudly, the fish seemed to be soaked in grease at the bottom but the batter was tough and burnt on top. When I opened it up, I found a small, dry piece of grey-colored fish, which was supposed to be cod.
Staff are amzaing and so friendly the food is 10/10 esp the fish the kids love its even do mini sizes that is amazing totally recommend to all my friends
10/10 without any doubt the best chippy shop in Braintree. Very good value for money and excellent customer service
