My family enjoys dining at this restaurant, so we also take the opportunity to eat there whenever we can, since we don't live nearby. The staff is friendly and helpful, just as one would expect. The food is consistently well-cooked, but there is always room for improvement - the portion of chips could be a bit larger. What Horrorpilch doesn't like about Mr Chips:
I only ordered a side of fries. I was surprised by the high price and disappointed to find them overly dry, hard, and inedible. It's a shame to have to throw them away. I will not be coming back. View all feedback.
We like this chipshop so much better than Chelmsford one's that I go the 4miles out of the way Chips can be a bit crispy/hard but never a bad thing.
Nice fish chips. Friendly efficient happy service. Like most fish and chip shops if you want plaice you'll have to wait until cooked or call in advance and order.
Tried the burger it was tasty with a fresh bun recommended salad and sauce of you choice. Chips are a good standard.
Local fish and chip shop. Does all the stuff you want. Really friendly staff. Great service. Always give us extra crispy bits if we call the order in. Recommend the fish and battered sausage with curry sauce.
