1st June 2019. Lunch for a family of 5. It was quite a pleasant day so we sat outside. Reasonable choice of sandwiches etc, and this was just what we wanted a relatively quick inexpensive lunch. Nice service from staff not wedded to their menu; changes are catered for! Perfect stopover for us. Recommended.
What Martha010523 doesn't like about Buckley's Tea Rooms:
Called here for the first time and will be the last. Ordered sandwiches , the bread looked and tasted as though it had come out of a cheap branded supermarket make. Hardly any salad to accompany the sandwiches and for the prices charged was way over the top. Since heard from other people that the food isn't as good as it used to be. View all feedback.
Lovely villiage tea rooms friendly service and lovely home made food. Definitely worth a visit when visiting Castke Hedingham.
My family and I visited Hedingham Castle to finalize the arrangements for my daughter's wedding, and happened to see the tearoom as we drove through. Despite the cold weather causing steamed-up windows and a less-than-impressive exterior, we were pleasantly surprised by the charming interior of the tearoom. The old building is beautifully decorated, and we enjoyed the unexpectedly good coffee and traditional English menu. I had cheese on toast, while my wife had beans on toast - both simple and satisfying choices. The tearoom was busy, hence the steamed-up windows, as heating is limited due to the building being listed. There is also a cozy upstairs bar area that looked inviting. Castle Hedingham itself is a peaceful place with lovely architecture, and I will certainly make the journey back to enjoy another walk and meal at Buckley's. If you're used to mainstream coffee chains, Buckley's may provide a unique experience, but one that is definitely worth it. The staff were extremely friendly and parking was easy during our visit.
I just enjoyed a wonderful lunch at this restaurant. The cakes were delicious, and I made a mental note to try the Adnams ale and cream tea on my next visit. The snack options were impressive, and though the main meal selection was limited, the dishes looked appetizing. The service was top-notch.
Myself and a friend went for lunch today. Excellent service, BLT was full of bacon and Brie and Cranberry Sandwich served with salad was very good.
Lovely old fashioned tea room set in this lovely picturesque village. Very nice food and good service. They also sell some vintage/ antique type things at a very reasonable price. Also specialty leaf teas for sale to take away.
