We had a fantastic dining experience at this restaurant. The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and the service was quick. There has been a significant improvement since our last visit a few months ago. We are excited to dine here again and are glad we gave the food another try. Kudos to the kitchen staff for a job well done.
The food at this restaurant has greatly improved recently. It arrives quickly and now actually looks appetizing. In the past, I was hesitant to eat the chicken because it looked grey and undercooked, but now the food has color and is carefully plated. I have visited several times in the last month and each time the food has been delicious. The staff is always friendly and the service is prompt.
The service at this restaurant is always fantastic, especially from Chloe and the rest of the staff. The food has been exceptional lately, coming out promptly and tasting delicious. I have no complaints at all.
Another brilliant meal, great quality and quantity, reasonable prices, and served quickly with a smile. I tried a pint of draught Guinness, 0% alcohol, and only £2. Tasted exactly like the real thing!
Great food, play area so handy for children. Exceptionally brilliant staff team both behind bar and the serving staff x
The Branocs Tree has become a go-to spot for families seeking a welcoming atmosphere and diverse menu options. Guests appreciate the generous selection, reasonable prices, and attentive staff, which together create a pleasant dining experience. While it can get busy—with young children enjoying various activities—the service remains commendable, despite occasional delays due to high traffic. Diners have noted the quality of the food as reliable, ensuring satisfaction for both adults and kids alike. For families looking for a lively meal, The Branocs Tree is well worth a visit, even if it may not cater to all adult diners.

Stopped going here 2 years ago due to constant issues with food. Decided to try again today. Such a disappointment, queued for 15 mins to order food. Was told 20 min wait. 50 minutes later our food arrived, mine was cold and no cutlery available, was told won't be long. After 15 mins waiting our already cold food was getting colder so we used our hands. OK for me having burger and fries but my friend had fish, chips and mushy peas. I had ordered a choc/tort for dessert. Over an hour after ordering I was told the tort should not have been on the menu as was unavailable. The staff were extremely stressed and trying their best, they had a lot of staff off sick. Once I complained I accepted a full refund and heartfelt apologies but don't think I'll be coming again. Also why offer vegan food but no milk alternative for coffee etc. I will end this on a positive note. Although it was cold the vegan burger was lovely and the staff were trying to be as helpful as possible. I did feel sorry for them
Not been here in a while due to work commitments but decided to go tonight as valinetines went to the cinema then here found it empty apart from 2 other couples was approached by a young lady who asked if we had a table booked even though it was dead another couple who she clearly new took priority to myself and my wife we eventually found our own way to a table and I then ordered at the bar the young lady behind the bar was amazing and polite and friendly we waited for our starter's they came out quite quickly they were OK then the main lasagne for the wife and stake for me what a disaster lasagne was dry out like to long in a microwave not fresh for the price paid and a medium rare stake was blue chips and peas cold we will DEFINITELY NOT BE COMING BACK THIS PLACE HAS GONE RIGHT DOWN HILL AND THE FACT IT WAS DEAD SAYS IT ALL
Good, very reasonable priced food. Nice and clean and good atmosphere. There was only two staff on front of house and they were both very friendly and helpful despite them both being extremely busy. Alex was our waiter, table clearer and bar tender. He was working his socks off all with a smile. Thank you to you both.
Taking my mum there for a pre theatre dinner. No one was there to book us in, I did book online. We had to queue where they order food just to check us in. The table was sticky. I ordered food on the app. It came and was edible. We ordered dessert thinking that can’t be bad….30 minutes late cold crumble and custard turnt up and it looked like they’d run out of crumble so chucked some strawberries mushed up on the side. This was 5.30 on a Saturday evening. It wasnt even that busy. Will never eat here again
This restaurant is fantastic. The food and service are excellent, and the environment is clean and pleasant. The parking is convenient, and the staff is very helpful and friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant.

The staff at this restaurant, from manager Steve to server Steph, were extremely helpful. The food was delicious and good value for money. Our three grandchildren enjoyed the meal, but next time I will request a table farther away from noisy children. We will definitely return. Thank you to everyone!
Yet another amazing meal, with service that is truly top-notch. Despite being short-staffed, it was not noticeable at all. A special thank you to Rob for accommodating my dietary restrictions. This exceptional team goes above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect.
I had a great meal at this restaurant. The selection of dishes was impressive and reasonably priced. Six adults enjoyed main courses, desserts, and drinks for under £100.
After a disappointing experience a few years ago, I decided to give this restaurant another chance. I'm glad I did! Last month, we visited twice and noticed a significant improvement. The manager, Rob, is fantastic and goes above and beyond to ensure a great experience. We'll definitely be back soon. The food is excellent, reasonably priced, and the service is friendly.
Great afternoon lunch! Food was amazing and large portions! Staff was so welcoming and fantastic service, especially Shelley who served our food! Would definitely recommend and will return when around Braintree again.

I have visited this restaurant a few times. The food is typical pub fare, nothing exceptional. However, the entrance from the parking lot was extremely dirty with cigarette butts and litter, which was off-putting. Despite this, we still went inside, only to find that the interior was also dirty - tables were not cleaned, the carpet looked filthy, and there was toilet paper all over the bathroom floor. The place appeared worn out and neglected. Due to our disappointing experience during our last visit, we have decided not to return.
My family and another family went out to eat with our young children and decided to try out The Branocs Tree based on good reviews, especially for kids. We didn't have a reservation, but the welcoming staff were able to find us a table easily. The menu had a good variety of options, from more elaborate dishes to simpler choices for the kids. The prices were reasonable, which is probably why the restaurant was full of families with young children. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and the friendly atmosphere, but as an older couple without kids, we probably wouldn't choose to eat here alone. However, if you have a young family, it's definitely worth a visit.

The service is excellent and the food selection is diverse and satisfying.
The restaurant offers a good variety of food options. It is best to avoid ordering the ribs as they are no longer as enjoyable as they used to be; they often seem to be mostly fat now.
