One of the best places in the north of Minnesota! I recommend Northern Cowboy for your stop, first choice. Great food and drink, service is amazing and the ambience is even better. On beautiful Long Lake in Nisswa Minnesota. Manager Dan is one of the best. Great person works hard to serve the community. Let us maintain this facility and keep it in business. View all feedback.

A series of bad decisions ultimately led me to this review. The menu was incredibly limited (eleven entrees), plus some pizzas and side salads. The walleye cakes were the highlight. Not great, but quite good. My wife enjoyed her Bourbon Street Pasta and her beer cheese soup. I had an incredibly disappointing pizza. Pre-made frozen crust, that was tough as shoe leather, yet mushy on top. I could barely get through one... View all feedback.
We absolutely loved this place! My husband and I ordered the specials: I had the pan-seared almonds and Walleye, while my husband enjoyed the shrimp. We both had the Au Gratin potatoes, which were excellent—equal to or even better than the high-end steakhouse at the resort where we usually stay. Our children were just as happy with the wings and noodles they ordered. We also tried the Northstar Cowboy cookie, which was delicious! The service was friendly and efficient. This has become my new favorite stop in the North!
We ate here tonight and it was our second visit. The food is fantastic for the money. I ordered the almond encrusted Walleye, and it was really good. Both times I was here, I ordered her beer cheese soup, it's the only restaurant I know where to serve beer cheese soup! My fiancée ordered everything you can eat, and he really enjoyed his choice. Our server was very accommodating and went out of her way to see that we felt comfortable.
Food was delicious! Service was pretty good also. Nice atmosphere and decor.
The food was really yummy and our waitress was great. The only thing that I would change would have been if my augrautin potatoes had been cooked instead of half raw. My son still loved them.
The atmosphere is nice. Sat in the bar. Liked the decor and the lake view. Service was very good. Spicy chicken tacos with boom boom sauce were good but I was extremely disappointed in the salsa served with the meal. It reminded me of Pace or GV chunky salsa. It would have been better complimented with a restaurant style salsa or at least a better quality salsa. Had a Tito's and soda. Drink was good. Price was $6.50. I know depending on where you travel that can be typical but I felt it was priced high for the area. I would've had two else otherwise. My meal and drink came to $21. A bit expensive for an average lunch. A few tweaks and I'd give them 5 stars.
