We had the best food during our 2 weeks summer holidays. The ambience on the outdoor terrace was great. The service was excellent. The food was the kind of food you constantly think about and tell everyone you're running about it. Literally each dish, including the children Mac and cheese at a higher level. The Walleye was the best Walleye meal I had in the Brainerd Lakes area. My wife had the pot roast and couldn't... View all feedback.
What Rhiannon doesn't like about Irma's Kitchen:
Service was extremely slow! Food took over an hour after order was placed, group of 7. The kids meals arrived about 10 minutes after the adults. I guess we need to specify children should be served first. It didn’t seem too busy 1 table of 2 and 2 tables of 8-10 people, but the large groups seemed to be mostly drinking. View all feedback.

If you're searching for a good restaurant by Gull Lake, I suggest heading to Mission Point at Madden’s just down the road, or Bar Harbor on the north side of the lake. Edit: After reading more reviews, I’m shocked by how Cragun’s responds to criticism. They seem to shift the blame entirely, ignoring the reality of their poor service and food. Cragun's: Are you upset that a former employee wrote a bad review, or that you received negative feedback? I have a background in marketing, not food services, which does not disqualify my opinion as a paying customer. Guests should feel free to express their honest experiences on platforms like Google reviews. Although it’s commendable that your chef and staff strive to deliver great food and drinks throughout the season, the bottom line is that what we had was nearly inedible. It’s also important to note that several other reviewers share similar concerns about the food quality. Instead of disputing reviewers' experiences, it might be more productive to focus on improving the quality of your dishes. We chose not to voice our concerns to the staff because we recognized there was nothing they could do to alter the taste. Instead, we decided to share our experiences here to provide constructive feedback. If you genuinely want to hear more about how to improve or rectify this situation, feel free to reach out to me directly.
Terrible bar service! I sat at the bar for 20 minutes, and the two girls served everyone else except us. Date: September 2, 2023. I will never return!
I strongly recommend visiting this restaurant and trying the Walleye dinner. It was one of the best fish meals I've ever had. The fish was perfectly cooked, accompanied by local wild rice, and the vegetables were also impeccably prepared. It's clear that the chef is very experienced. The setting by the lake adds to the charm as well.
Great experience at Cragun’s until we came to this place. Our first experience we walked in with a larger party right before happy hour was over to order a drink and something for the kids to eat and they gave us dirty looks and asked if we have a reservation.the bar had 3 tables with guests. The server Ellie finally took our order and she seemed annoyed with us until she realized we were ordering some expensive drinks then she was fine.should have learned our lesson. We came back later in the evening for a few drinks(adults only). The best way I can put it is if you want to pay $10-15 bucks for 1/2 once pours then this is your place. I did finally ask the bartender to at least make my $12 drink with a shotglass and she lost it. Her manager Mellissa handled it worse than I will post here and should not work here. Guess it is hard to find good employees and I need to lower my standards. Everyone at this restaurant seems to be miserable at work.
