Had not eaten here in about two years ago so thought we would stop in for the buffet. What a disappointment! We were there for about 45 minutes. During that time we helped ourselves to salad and what was left of two cold pizzas, only one other pizza was brought out. Hey at least the waitress was friendly. We won't be going back soon. Family owned and family run. I enjoy Giovanni's Pizza both eating in and dining out. They welcome you into their restaurant and into their hearts. The pizza is my favorite pizza in town. I've had it twice this week already. And even when I thought my daughter and I would have no place to go on Thanksgiving Kris invited us to Thanksgiving with their family. Family owned and the family welcomes you into their heart. Thank you Guys for being you and part of our community.
Since reopening under new ownership things are really starting to improve it seems. The restaurant is refreshed and the lunch buffet was better stocked than before. There still could've been more selection when we went and that's why is not 5 stars. They're working to change the reputation. Give them a chance and let's hope this turns back into a great lunch spot for downtown Brainerd.
The pizza was excellent, and the service was great! Our server was clearly brand new, but she was joyful, enthusiastic, helpful and friendly. I am new to this area, and this is the best pizza I have had since coming here.
