The creativity of the chef and his crew playing with texture, taste and look left nothing to be desired. Every course was full of surprises visually pleasing and an explosion of taste in the mouth. We had unexpectedly been placed at the chef's table which gave us a view of the kitchen. We couldn't have enjoyed our evening and our dining experience more.

Zu unserer Überraschung wird uns bereits dort ein erstes Amuse B... read more Wir haben im Restaurant Vivanda reserviert und starten den Abend in der Bar des Hotels In Lain. Zu unserer Überraschung wird uns bereits dort ein erstes Amuse Bouche serviert. Ein weisser Ast mit verschiedenen essbaren, köstlichen Blättern und weiteren Kleinigkeiten. Ab ins Restaurant, wo es mit mehr Amuse Bouche weitergeht. Danach wird das 8-Gänge-Menu serviert, das wir mit passender Weinbegleitung geniessen. Von einem Gang zum anderen werden wir überrascht und begeistert. Sowohl optisch wie auch kulinarisch jagt ein Höhepunkt den anderen. Die Kreativität ist auf höchstem Niveau. Was uns besonders sympathisch auffällt ist die Tatsache, dass Dario Cadenau, der Chef persönlich die Platten ins Restaurant trägt, wo sie dann vom höchst professionellen Serviceteam serviert werden. Nach 8 Gängen, wir können kaum mehr, werden dann noch die Friandises zum Espresso serviert. 6 delikate Schokoladehäppchen, pro Person! Das Vivanda hat uns absolut überzeugt und uns einen unvergesslichen Abend beschert. Vielen Dank!PS: Es gibt für uns kaum einen Ort, wo Kulinarik so perfekt mit einem so stilvollen und gastfreundlichen, familiären Hotel kombiniert ist.

Once there we discov... read more One of the worst evenings of my life! We arrived at the restaurant with very high expectations given the great reviews we had been reading. Once there we discover there is no menu but they decide everything for us without even telling us what they...will give us. We ended up staying seated for three and a half hours as the service was horribly slow. All the servings were so small you couldn’t even understand what you were eating, even if we finished the bread they wouldn’t bring us more. After three hours and a half we were nervous and hungry and the cherry on the cake was the bill: in two….not only a terrible experience but even super pricey. Never ever again!
