Visiting the terrace at Bom Jesus, hunger kicked in and we decided to grab a bite. We decided to go for the traditional fare of I think its called Fernandinho. What arrived was a kind of a toasted cheese with added sausages and bits of meat in the toast, swimming in a, hmmm ... kind of a tomato sauce brine. Now, tastes differ, but all of us nibbled at whatever we ordered with long teeth. And it was not cheap either. So if you can, give it a skip or bring your own sandwiches. It is pretty busy there as well (mid-afternoon).

We ordered a orange juice and a beer. They served us the juice with WORMS, yes, worms. Additionally when we claimed, they did not get the juice money back until we ask. I am not a person who writes bad reviews at all, but this is breathless.

Called in for lunch, very good I had pork chops and my wife had beef steak both cooked to our liking, it was part of a set menu €10 including drinks and coffee. Great value. And the staff very pleasant.

If you like no fuss proper Portuguese lunch menu of the day. Barbecue meats with chips salad bread olives drink and coffee friendly staff. Not fine dining good food realistically priced.
