We ordered 2 meals from menu of the day . Food was quite good (a little too cold), portion very big. Prices reasonable 7 euro per meal. Restaurant was clean and... read more We ordered 2 meals from menu of the day . Food was quite good (a little too cold), portion very big. Prices reasonable 7 euro per meal. Restaurant was clean and nice decorated. However, the were two problems. First, it was difficult to communicate, because at beggining waitress tried to talk with us in English, later she spoke only in Portugese. We don 't know she pretended or she really didn 't understand us. Second, as soon as we took places waitress brought a lot of snacks which we didn 't order. We tried to explain that we didn 't want them but she didn 't react. When we got the bill we noticed that we needed to pay twice than we should for ordered meals because they charged us for unordered as well. I know it is often practiced in Portugal to give unordered tapas, but we really got twice more than Portugese guests sitting at the next tables and then we told we didn 't want snacks. We have paied the bill but I feel cheated and I will never return there again. I don 't recommend ...

I tried the Bacalhau Previdem for one person and the portion was far enough for me. It would be good for two people. Good selection of affordable local wine. A good option near the INL.

I do speak Portuguese and... read more Not being familiar with the area we ended up here. If you don’t speak Portuguese run special if you have the young girl as a waitress. I do speak Portuguese and spoke to her in Portuguese but as soon as I spoke English to my daughters the waitress clearly didn’t want to serve us and became rude. When she brought some appetizers to the table which I told her we didn’t order and didn’t want, she rolled her eyes. We ordered our food and she left so fast I didn’t have a chance to tell her I wanted my meat well done. I called her 3 times and she clearly ignored me. when I finally got her attention to tell her I wanted my meat well done she said “ you should have told me. Now I have to go to the kitchen” like she was doing me a favour. Food was ok. My husband ordered the grilled fish with potatoes but she never brought the olive oil to the table. He had to get up and go ask for it. Finally the plates were removed and she brought the desert menu but never came back. I started talking loud to my husband on how bad and rude she was, the waiter at the next table heard and came to ask if we needed anything else. We paid and left. Food was ok. Nothing spectacular but I will never go back due to the service. The waitress should be trained to serve everyone the same Nd not judge by their language. She has a job thanks to us.
