Mid Brae Inn

The restaurant offers great food and has friendly staff. It is the only place on the Shetlands that serves fresh, homemade chips. We enjoyed a delicious potato and leek soup, Guinness stew, and rump steak with pepper sauce - all of which were generous portions. It is advisable to share a starter to leave room for dessert. The price per person ranges from £10-20. The food is rated as a 5 out of 5.

I have always adored this small restaurant. The food is fantastic. They have recently renovated the main dining area, and it looks great. The bar on the other side had a jukebox, which made me happy, although I don't think the locals appreciated my music selections! This is definitely my favorite spot in Brae for delicious food and drinks.

I was disappointed to experience racial abuse during my first visit to this restaurant in Brae. It was a shocking and disgusting experience to be subjected to by some of the customers. I would recommend avoiding this place if you are not Caucasian, as any patrons with a different skin color should be cautious. The restaurant seems to be outdated in their views and practices, so I would advise steering clear.

Absolutely amazing home cooked food, at great prices with great sized portions and great service left absolutely stuffed couldn’t even manage a desert. I will be back.
