Fish well fresh, well battered and not too greasy. The fries were “ok” did not have that “fish and chip shop feeling” though. Coleslaw and tartar sauce were also very good, just really small portions. Service was good. Drink options aren’t great though. Also the cheesecake was way too expensive. Would get take out going forward instead of dine in. Price per person: CA$10–20 View all feedback.
What Adriano Gennaro doesn't like about Captain George's:
Well, I came to this place with my brother. I asked the girl how many pieces of fish the $14.50 service had and she told me two pieces, fries, I paid $3 for a salad service and $1.50 Pepsi Cola, when I went to pay she charged me $30. He included another service for $7.50 without even adding another service of fries that he brought, well I'll tell you something, you fooled me today, you won't fool me again, I will nev... Among the multitude of fish and chip establishments I've sampled, this one stands out as my absolute favorite. The freshness and quality of their offerings are unparalleled, making it a must-visit for anyone craving a delicious meal. For the ultimate experience, I highly recommend dining in to enjoy the fish and chips at their freshest. There's something about the crispy exterior and tender fish that simply doesn't translate as well when taken to-go. Julie, our server, consistently embodies kindness and attentiveness, making each visit feel personalized and welcoming. Her dedication to her regular customers is evident, leaving a lasting impression that speaks volumes about her work ethic and commitment to excellence. When it comes to our order, we always opt for the halibut or haddock, both of which never disappoint. While we've yet to try the cod, it's on our radar for our next visit, as we trust the quality and flavors this establishment consistently delivers. Thanks to Julie and her colleagues for consistently providing exceptional service and unforgettable dining experiences. Parking: There is a free parking lot located behind the store. Otherwise there are street parking options available.
Ordered take out halibut and kids chicken fingers. The fish was so over cooked which made the breading so crunchy. There was so much breading and little fish. The chicken fingers were 12 dollars for 2 small pieces of chicken. Not worth it at all. Won’t ever order here again. Service: Delivery Food: 1
I phoned in order, 3 orders of fish chips approx. 70. told 15 min, went to pick up, waited another 30 min . restaurant not busy at all. it appeared that the cooks changed in middle of order and replacement cook never had any idea about orders. as original cook left as soon as replacement walked in. when we went to eat ,found fish was really thin, over cooked and dried out, mostly inedible, chips were all hard and overcooked as well,, not sure if we will order from here again.

Delicious fish and better quality than most fish n ' chips restauraunts. Nice staff but poor judgement from the owners. The following is why i 'll give them three stars instead of five. My friends and I find it hilarious that for nearly a year now, the neon 'OPEN ' signs in their windows are left on over and over and over when they 're closed. If they think that 'll get our attention, it 's not a mature way to go about it. If you are open, leave those signs on. If you are closed, turn those signs off. Great food, but poor buisness habits.
