Great prices, good service, good food. I went to the Lighthouse for breakfast. Breakfast menu was broad enough that you wouldn 't get bored as a repeat diner. I had eggs, a sausage patty, rye toast and home fries. Ample portions; I couldn 't finish it. Eggs were cooked just as I asked. Monte is now the Liberty Tavern. Under new management and new look. Still with the great friendly atmosphere. Menu is very similar with some new things added. Will be back soon.
You want HOT wings? Come here. The menu does not have much to choose, but from what they have, it is top notch. Their hot wings are the hottest in the southern animal territory. It uses a mixture of Habanero, mind and scorpion purees. The use of the actual paprika instead of a concentrate brings the taste of pepper with heat instead of only heat. Also had a piece of pizza to go with the wings that was also great. The bartender was very friendly and informative. Great little place.
The building is old, but the food and the friendly atmosphere are from this world. Daily specials every day of the week that draw in regular customers. I didn't have a bad meal there. There is even a small culinary adventure if you experience someone, try to master their monster burger.
Some of the best fryer food in town and always friendly. “Montes Hot” sauce is not to be taken lightly...oh yeah tough guy? Do it. Let’s see it. Ask for it by name. They will warn you as well...
Very comfortable local joint with fresh food and fantastic service. Monte takes care of each of the tables personally. The cheeseburger was high quality and worth having again. Prices were downright cheap.
