I don't understand why we have to tip the staff for simply doing their job. I can see tipping for exceptional service or delivery, but John should just pay the staff more instead of expecting customers to make up the difference. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Papa Johns:
This review is about the incredibly rude Papa John's restaurant. The staff seem disinterested and disrespectful. They have homeless people loitering outside the door. When you call, they answer as if you are interrupting their personal time. The delivery driver is elderly and struggles to find addresses, blaming customers for his mistakes. The pizza is still good and we've always had good service. However, it seems that they've changed their sauce recipe and you can taste the sweetness.
Ordered food at 9pm...by midnight had not seen delivery. Called and got attitude from person who answered phone then manager pretty much blamed us for the delivery not arriving. Won't be ordering from Papa John's Pizza ever again. Another pizza Co was much more accommodating after we argued for a refund... for the pizza that was never delivered
Ordered pizza at 833 it arrived at 940 after going to the wrong address the food was barely warm. After a third call to the store I was put on hold for 15 minutes in which no one ever came back to the phone. Terrible customer service I will never order from this brand again.
Awful awful experience trying to get a pizza delivered from the Hillsborough Ave. location. After waiting and waiting for nearly an hour, for delivery from this store (that is less than 3 miles from our door), I attempted to call to inquire about the delay the phone rang straight through to a looped message after listening to the looped message for nearly 30 minutes a real person finally answered! When we explained the problem the staff had no idea what the problem could have been but acknowledged that she knew exactly what driver was the one who was likely at fault and sure enough, when she inquired about our pizza was told that the driver could not find the address and tried calling us (Pizza Hut NEVER has had a problem delivering pizza to our door) and we never received a call from the Papa Johns driver! Our credit card was charged and when we asked to speak to the manager we were only delivered a message from him/her to let us know that the driver DID try to call us and we were more than welcome to come and pick up our pizza and it would be free! We explained that we didn't want a pizza that had been made over an hour ago the manager delivered another message (through the kind staff that ended up answering the phone) to let us know that they would make us a fresh pizza that we could pick up but we would be charged full price for it! The next day (after I submitted a negative Yelp review) we received a text from the manager to let us know we could order and pick up a free pizza...thanks ....but no thanks!
