Grandma Wan Thai Mix Kitchen

Outstanding! Our first business and most certainly not our last! The location is relaxing and surprisingly upscale for your average food truck. Grandma has been in this location for two years and arranged it like a garden at home. The menu consists of a daily special (see pic) and the regular menu. Sure to be something to tempt you. We chatted with her one customer and Grandma before it got busy and learned much about her and the business. She's mighty impressive. Works the whole deal, service and cooking herself. We heard from the customer that the noodle soup was killer so we got an order to go. We ordered spring rolls and two dishes Thai Basil stir fry (basil from her garden) and the day's special, Thai Sweet Curry Chicken. The table setting includes a dry spice and a pepper sauce made from the plants in her garden next to the truck (lookout, this is got some heat). Everything was delicious fresh as anything. The Thai Basil was sweet and spicy and a healthy plate at that! The Curry was savory and sweet, so add some of those peppers if you want to crank it up. Fantastic spot, don't miss it!

If I could give this place a 10 I would. At first, you are driving there and wondering about what exactly you are going to find. Lets just say we landed upon the most authentic and most adorable grandma! She has one of the most beautiful souls! She has such a passion for sharing her family recipes with us patrons. She normally doesnt make pad thai on Thursdays but becuase there was no one waiting and it was my first time here, she was gratious enough to make it for me. Soooo delicious. The noodles were obviously homemade.The dish was cooked perfect and the flavors were so wonderful. My son had the fried egg dish and my husband a thai curry dish. We had grandma spring rolls too. And the iced sweet tea refreshing. Lets say we had no left overs......only empty plates. There is planty of outdoor seating and flowers galore surround this area. Grandma grows her own herbs too. The ingredients are so fresh. The dishes are priced reasonably. I cant wait to go back!P.S. Grandma said she will be in Palmetto 5/7/21 with her food truck by Detweilers. Definately check her out if you are in the area.... you wont be disappointed.Catoring services are also available!
