Anna Marie Island was no big deal, beautiful beaches, and plenty of parking. Pretty long walk from a lot to the beach, so be prepared. Took a friend with COPD. What Aurelio Padojino doesn't like about Coquina Beach Cafe:
Location was great, the service was good, server and cashier were friendly and helpful but the breakfast food was mediocre. Grits had no flavour, bacon and eggs were too salty and overcooked. Priced like a First Watch but food worse than a MickeyDs. Get your breakfast somewhere else. View all feedback.

We had to keep stopping for his breathing. Once settled, the beach was beautiful white sand they had lifeguards bathrooms outdoor showers, so you could rinse off the salt after swimming all day! I always appreciate a shower after swimming in the Gulf and have a 2 hr ride back home to Estero. Truth be told, I could have saved 4 hrs of driving going to my local beaches, Bonita, Lovers Key, Ft Myers, and a 30 min ride to Sanibel /Captiva. If you're in the area, we'll it's a no brainer it's beautiful there. Parking: Room for many cars. Pack light as it's a hike to the beach on sand...I guess I'm just a bit spoiled...lol
The best healthy breakfast I have ever had on a beach...I recommend it 100
Great beach, plenty of room and great views. Showers to wash off and also some trash cans. We definitely enjoyed it and the little town nearby with shops and food more than we did Sarasota Beach.
Food was sooo expensive and was the cheapest squishiest meat ever especially the tacos. They are doing construction and moving sand around right by where the tables are. Our disgusting $70 food was all thrown away because of the amount of sand sprayed on it.
The atmosphere depends on the weather. Staff will ignore you while chit chatting. If YOU interrupt THEIR PERSONAL conversation the looks they give could kill. The food is eh and cost is to high. They also take up space on the beach with their umbrellas and chairs. Best bet being your own food and get there when the beach opens to get a spot before they take it.
