What User doesn't like about Lai Lai Chinese Restaurant:
I love Chinese from here...when they are on their game, unfortunately that tends to be about 30% of the time. Have to be willing to take the punt. As a life long Petrie resident I have heard concerning hygiene situations but take that with a grain of salt. Service is always friendly but sometimes lacking attention. I've had the best Chinese meals here and some of the worst. All in all would go to again. View all feedback.
Great food hard to find nice tasting Chinese food Very quick service and well priced
Lai Lai consistently serve great dishes! The best Chinese take-away I have been to yet. The take-away containers are always filled to the brim.

Yummo. After trying a few places locally to me and being disappointed, Lai Lai was recommended via good old Facebook chit chat. Got the man to pick up my order on his way home from a business trip. I kept it simple but chose dishes that should be considered staples - cashew braised chicken and chicken chow mein. I usually go for some entrees but I wanted to make sure they had these down first. An abundance of beautiful tender chicken in both dishes. The chow mein had a lovely selection of vegetables: brocolli, cauliflower, spears of carrot with little patterns on them and baby corn, the container was large and a good noodle to chicken ratio. Saucy but not too saucy and dont get me started on the cashew chicken...the sauce was punchy with ginger and whatever else goes in it and the vegetables were again lovely and a heap of yummy cashews that lasted untill the end even though I seemed to get one with every bite. Kids loved the noodles and inhaled the chicken. Cant wait to try a few more of their dishes.
