Went for office lunch with a group of 12. Tried Korean Fried Cauliflower which was ok, lamb mince paratha was good, prawn dumplings- slightly spicy and spring rolls. Worth mentioning- the Dirty Bird roasted chicken with sriracha sauce, which was excellent. View all feedback.
I came here for a function for my mates’ birthday. Really excellent service. Floor staff were coming over to the table periodically to check and make sure everything was okay and whether we needed anything more. Menu was simple but very good I advise to get a main and an entree. <br/ <br/ Atmosphere was good too. I liked the layout of the place. Good lighting. <br/ <br/ For a main, an entree, and 3 beers I paid $63. Not exactly cheap, but I felt it commensurate to the experience. Will be back!
Have been a few times to this converted Newstead warehouse and it never disappoints. Terrific vibe, so warehouse'y and yet open air, not too noisy, staff are friendly and efficient. And the food! Great place to take a vegetarian; dont go past their KFC Cauliflower or the Crispy Eggplant. The slow cook lamb shoulder was succulent and fell apart, and the osso bucco curry was a velvety treat. Had a reasonably priced Mornington Pinot Noir from an excellent wine list. Next time might engage the VERY handsome cocktail maker. This place a winner, and what Brisbane needs more of, you can proudly take anyone from anywhere to this venue
We come to celebrate a birthday with drinks and bites at Mrs Brown’s Bar Kitchen. A popular venue with locals, they are better known for their refreshments. Phuong Tran likes her Peach A-Peel Cocktail $14), the Vermouth, Peach liqueur and lime juice makes this a winner! Thank you guys!
I actually love this place! I first came here just for some casual drinks with friends on a Saturday afternoon a few months back. Today was my second visit for lunch and glad to say it was as enjoyable as the first. The food is great and intended to be shared amongst friends. A favourite among all was the fried eggplant in lemongrass and chilli sauce. Full of flavour and a lovely texture. The salads were also a hit the four grain salad in particular is a fresh and welcome accompaniment to the stronger flavours of some of the other dishes, such as the lamb ribs which are delicious. We sampled quite a few dishes and everything was devoured. Everyone at the table was happy and very full. It's the perfect place to settle in for the afternoon with friends, share some plates and have a few drinks.
I was really impressed with my overall experience at Mrs Brown's Bar and Kitchen. We came on a weekday around lunchtime and despite its vibrant bustle, the staff were able to accommodate us. I had the Jamaican me crazy cocktail (which resembled a ginger mohito) and I sampled my friend's pink gin, which was delicious. The food came out quite quickly and the staff were very friendly. We tried the spicy eggplant which had a good hit of chilli and citrus. I could've eaten a whole bowl by myself. The paratha pancake with haloumi was so moreish and was cooked perfectly. I can't wait to try the mains on the menu.
