This place was exactly what we were looking for - standard breakfast restaurant with good prices and daily specials. Service was good and meal arrived quickly.

We should have just taken thi... read more My boyfriend and I tried this place out yesterday for breakfast only because where we wanted to go was closed due to construction. We should have just taken this as a sign to go home but we were really hungry. When we arrived around 11:30am we were pleased to see many of the tables full of people so we hoped the food would be good. Boy were we wrong. From the moment we arrived we should have just gotten up and left. There was a really pleasant, young, hostess who very nicely told us to sit wherever we wanted but out of the handful of open tables available only 2 were clean. Our waitress came right over and she was miserable from the very start asking us if we wanted to order before we had even opened our menus. I asked for a water and a few minutes. She came back empty handed and gruffly took our orders, never once looking at us and very rudely repeating the same question to my boyfriend about his menu choice which he clearly didn't understand (nor did I) from her very limited explanation. Our drinks never arrived and I watched as our waitress stood around doing nothing instead of bringing us our tea and juice. Our food arrived less than 5 minutes after we ordered it which led me to believe it was not fresh. I had to again ask for our drinks once she delivered our food. Again this would have been a perfect time to get up and leave. Our plates were completely unappetizing even to look at. The potatoes were slightly grey and the toast was soggy and afterwards I found out that my boyfriend's eggs had shells in them and were slimy and my potatoes were practically raw. Our server never once came to check on us and we had to go up to the counter to even pay. I was so disappointed and frustrated that what was supposed to be a nice rare morning out with my boyfriend had turned into a disaster that left more than just a bad taste in both of our mouths. And it was not cheap!!! Almost $30 for the two of us and we were sick for the rest of the day. Needless to say I would NEVER go back and I am very disappointed I even had to spend a single cent of my hard earned money in this abysmal establishment. This food was definitely not fit to be served to anyone and the service was no better. I can't see this place being open much longer if that is the norm.

The food at this restaurant is generally delicious, but the older gentleman who operates the establishment can be quite rude if he perceives you as being young.... read more The food at this restaurant is generally delicious, but the older gentleman who operates the establishment can be quite rude if he perceives you as being young. In addition, the service is often slow and they seem to struggle when the restaurant gets busy.
