The following Monday, my friend Michelle and I headed to the intersection of Hypoluxo Rd and Congress Ave to see if the deal was real. We arrived just before 8:00 PM as the dinner rush was winding down. We were warmly welcomed by a cheerful young lady who clearly enjoyed her job. Our drinks were quickly ordered and served as we chatted about the menu. I was there exclusively for the ribs. I requested my ribs to be well-cooked with a bit of char on the outside, along with French fries and an ear of corn. When the platter arrived, I was stunned by the size of the rack and questioned whether this was indeed the $11.95 deal or something pricier. Our server confirmed it was indeed the right price, which put a smile on my face. I divided the rack, and Michelle quickly asked for a rib, which I happily shared with her. The ribs were cooked to perfection, flavorful, and fell off the bone just the right amount. Both the fries and corn were also enjoyable. Michelle ordered a half BBQ chicken dinner for $8.99 and was thrilled with it. We decided to share a piece of their special cake for dessert, which was absolutely delightful. Would I go back?
