Friggy's Sobo Pub - Boyne City

Affordable drinks and food at this restaurant, but don't have high expectations. The cocktails are served in plastic cups, poorly made and not consistent. The Margarita was undrinkable. Stick with a bottled beer as they have a good selection. The food is inexpensive and they offer a late-night menu, which is rare in Boyne City. Mostly deep-fried items. The service is lacking and not up to par.

Shit show on a Thursday. Walked in with masks on, bartender said we had to leave because we had recyclable brown gift bags with us (containing lavender simple syrup) and a to go box with pasta in it. Put our stuff outside in front of store and walked back in. While everyone walked around drunk with no masks on. We were carded, was starred down by every local in the bar. Did not feel welcomed at all. Super loud karaoke with amazing feedback the ringing in my ears is just wonderful. Had two drinks and one shot the bartender insisted we drink water. Even after one of her buddies fell off a barstool knocked it over and left it there. The frien was very upset and told the bartender something so the bartender ran outside to partake in the drama. We were enjoying every second of the shit show I give it four stars. However, after I closed out and left a 4 dollar tip on a 10 dollar tab and realized this was the only place open late we sat at the bar and was told, you should drink your water. So, I got cutoff from two canned beverages and one shot.... I 'm 35 years old I 've been around the block. I read another review also suggesting that staff is only courteous to locals, I couldn 't agree more. So, if you want to enjoy yourself and have nice staff and a couple of drinks and chill go to Lake Street pub, I give them five stars!

The food was mediocre, but the service was good. The restaurant has a cool atmosphere. The chicken soup lacked flavor, and the black and blue burger was messy and unappetizing. However, they have good drinks and the place is clean.

I've been going to friggy's over the past few years and cannot say there is really anything great that stands out about the place. From the tasteless food, to the service from one of the bartenders, or obscene behavior of management, it is no surprise to hear how the locals in the area speak of the place. I have witnessed the manager yelling at several customers, and even stooped to telling a woman she had better tip his bartender or do not ever order anything again! On another occasion, I had a complaint of no heat in the woman's bathroom during the middle of winter, and was told by the manager that he does not care about the women's bathroom! Women come out with hard nipples and it makes more boys come in for him....I found this comment very disturbing and offensive, as did the other customers standing around while he continued drinking and yelling I don't give a F , it is my birthday! New management coming...hopefully there will be some great changes soon!

If I was able to give them 0 stars, I would. Awful service from bartender. When getting ready to leave, I had put my mask back on, a man from across the bar approached me and stated that if I was wearing a mask, I couldn 't drink. I gave him a thumbs up, he then got less than a foot from my face and told me to take off my fucking mask I said I would not do that, to which he responded what 're you so afraid of? I said you breathing in my face ... he proceeded to lean in and heavily breath directly in my face. Awful atmosphere, would not recommend and will not return.
