I adore this café located within the Ardcarne garden centre. The menu is straightforward yet the food is outstanding. The staff members are welcoming and attentive. The serene ambiance is perfect for a leisurely lunch. The only drawback is that they only accept cash. However, this is easily resolved as the garden centre offers cash back. I highly recommend trying the cracked pepper dish. View all feedback.
What Tara H doesn't like about The Cracked Pepper:
Came here for a quick lunch, had a lovely salad but myself and my father are coeliacs (need gluten free food and we were a bit disappointed there was no gluten free options except for soup and salad. Would recommend getting gluten free bread and maybe freezing it so there would be the option of a sandwich which would be a lot more filling : (Hard to do a days work on the bog on a salad View all feedback.

Located in the Ardcarne Garden Centre, this cafe offers a unique experience of being able to shop for plants while enjoying a meal. We always make a point to stop here on our trips from Dublin. The food is homemade, beautifully presented, and the staff is extremely friendly. Today, I indulged in a slice of lemon drizzle cake while my companion opted for the cheesecake, both of which were absolutely delicious. The coffee was also perfect. They offer complimentary water under the olive tree and provide a daily paper. Their soups, served with homemade brown bread, are also a highlight. I always make sure to purchase a brown bread cake to take home. Overall, this cafe is well worth a visit.
I just had lunch and it was fantastic! I'm very picky with my food, so when I find something I enjoy, I keep coming back. The restaurant is great, the staff is amazing. Thank you!
We have lunch at this lovely spot as often as possible. All home made food. Soup is scrumptious and accompanied by delicious brown bread. My Mum loves their Belgium Hot Chocolate and it looks wonderful. Very helpful and friendly staff. Highly recommend this lovely place.
