We eat here quite a bit as it has become our favorite go to. Food is always tasty and well prepared. Service has always been very good to great. Bartenders make fantastic drinks and there are a lot of bourbon choices. For drinks, the old-fashioned andKentucky Mules are my favorite. There are so many good food choices but they outdid themselves this weekend with a beefWellington special. One of the best meals I have ever had in my life!! I hope they bring this back occasionally. It wasphenomenal!!
I stumbled across this restaurant looking for new places to try near our home. We've been here for 2 years now and I'm very sad I hadn't found Grind sooner. My husband and I went for our anniversary dinner and everything was amazing. We started out withthe Crab Dip which you could see the chunks of crab meat in! So good. Then he had scallops and risotto and I had pre-orderedtheir weekend special of the Beef Wellington. Everything was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. We didn't try theirmeatballs so we will definitely be back.
Ate way too much so I feel sick now. Tried a little of everything off of everyone?s plates. Not one thing was bad. The crab dip had huge chunks of crab in it so that was a stronger flavor than I expected. Would have liked a little more balance in flavorbut it was still awesome. Polenta Meatballs were great. Crab meatball was basically a crab cake. Delicious.
First, let me state I love a good meatball. That being said my experience at Grind was very good all around. The service was good, atmosphere was somewhat rustic and yhe decor was all matching. The star of this show was the meatballs for which I haveheard much love for and they did not disappoint. I had Italian wedding soup, which was very easy to eat along with a couple ofsoft rolls and butter. The Ceasars salad is presented with flourish and tastes as good as it looks. The main attraction wasmeatballs with a slightly spicy red sauce over polenta that was delicious. The meatballs (I choose beef for my first outingthere) were cooked well and juicy. Polenta was smooth and the sauce had a bit of spice to it but not overly so. The concept isto choose your meatball protein (chicken, beef or seafood), what 's going under it (from roll to polenta, pasta, macaroni andcheese and more), then a sauce which red tomatoes, or mushrooms and more. I choice the bowel which provided large meatballs anda satisfactory amount of polenta. I was able to try the Mac and cheese with bacon and mushroom and was equally as good andhearty. The drinks are well made and not watered down! I had a long Island ice tea and was very good. The food is delicious, theservice was great and friendly (but not too much) as well as prompt but too fast. There are plenty of kid friendly dishes onthe menu and despite there being a prominent full service bar in the back of the room I would recommend to families. Prices arefair portions are filling. Recommended and I will be back to try more of the plates I saw! Please note parking is off street andI can see that a small walk may happen, but it 's well worth it.
