They receive rave reviews from diners who believe that dining here is amazing. This small restaurant has simple decor and no pretension. The food was incredible, and I'm so happy we decided to try it out. The mantu dumplings were small bundles of tasty lamb, mint, chili oil, and yogurt. The lamb and rice dish was succulent and tender, with flavors that were perfect. The chicken kebabs were also juicy and flavorful, a welcome change from the often dry meat you find elsewhere. The portion sizes are generous, so make sure you come hungry. I will definitely be returning!

Wow! We had an amazing dining experience at Golistan. The food was honest and full of flavors. We ordered the mixed meat (2 x chicken 2 x minced lamb), manto (lamb veg dumplings), and lamb korma, all served with a basket of fresh, crispy bread and a side of yogurt dip. The mixed meat was recommended by the owner instead of the lamb tikka, and it was delicious. The minced chicken was seasoned perfectly, and the manto dumplings were a favorite, packed with flavors and served with a tangy yogurt sauce. The lamb korma had a rich sauce that reminded us of grandma's homemade tomato sauce, but with lamb flavor. The owner was friendly and welcoming, suggesting dishes for us to try. The total cost for two people was $42, including a bottle of iced tea. The food was not greasy, just simple and delicious. We left feeling satisfied but not uncomfortably full. We had a great dining experience at Golistan and would highly recommend it.

This restaurant is the best Afghan restaurant in the eastern suburbs. I have visited multiple times and have never been disappointed. The portions are generous and the chicken and kafta skewers are moist and delicious. I highly recommend this place.
