Larrikin Hotel Bistro. - Bowen

I have been here a few times with friends, it is not my choice of a place to dine. Noisy and slow service. The meals have been average.

My wife and I enjoyed a nice meal at this hotel. Very cheap dining but a nice size meal all the same. Nice atmosphere in a nice dining area. Looks like the room is getting done up so will look nice when finished.

Visiting from new Zealand and stopped by bowen. had lunch at the larrikin pub friendly stuff and nice cold beer. had a steak -it was so good I went back for dinner would really recommend visitors pop in their larrikin placemats a excellent idea

Very disappointed with the service. I was made feel like I was an inconvenience due to being Coelica even tho we rang prior to confirm they catered for the same. My husband enquired what sauces were gluten free we were told that it makes things hard that I have a dietary requirement. The young girl taking our order rolled her eyes as she went into the kitchen and when she came back out she could not even have the decency to look at me when she informed me that no it wasn't. Due to very poor and rude service it will be extremely unlikely i will come here again for a meal. I must say I have never been asked for the highchair I pre-booked to b given to someone else. Food was ok for its money. However female staff at this establishment need a lesson in good manners and good service.

$10 counter meals that are of exceptional value. The chef here does a great job. Cyclone damage is repairs are nearly completed but does not interfere with the quality,quantity,and service of you get here. Also has a lovely beer garden to let you enjoy the outdoors
