What User doesn't like about The Carlton:
The service was a mixed bag, with some staff members being courteous and attentive while others missed the mark. There were a few mistakes with orders, like serving a lime soda instead of a lime and lemonade. Overall, the dining experience was a bit disappointing, but it was included as part of our stay at the wellness hotel so it wasn't too upsetting. View all feedback.

We had a reservation for 7pm on Saturday at a restaurant that, due to Covid-19, had limited capacity. The guests included visitors from the hotel and timeshare apartments, but we were adequately spaced out. The lighting and ambiance were not perfect, but acceptable. The menu offered a variety of options, including some great vegetarian choices. For starters, we tried the garlic mushrooms, calamari, and shrimp with chorizo, which were all delicious and the highlight of our meal. The pasta dish with shrimp, cherry tomatoes, and chili was flavorful, though we would have preferred a bit more spice. The pulled pork Wellington was rather heavy, served with potatoes that seemed unnecessary and slightly overcooked. Despite these minor flaws, our overall dining experience for our birthday celebration was pleasant. The staff was polite and helpful, and the Barolo wine, while initially strong, improved as it warmed to room temperature throughout the meal.
This restaurant is excellent with beautiful decor. It is located in Carlton, a popular area filled with trendy shops and galleries. The menu is extensive with a wide variety of dishes that are well cooked and beautifully presented. The prices are fair for the quality of food offered. Overall, dining here was a very pleasant experience and definitely worth a visit just to try the delicious food!
I went to dinner with friends at this restaurant. The 'Steak fritte' was served lukewarm with cold chips, but was eventually returned hot. The steak was fatty and of poor quality. The waiting staff made several mistakes, such as forgetting ice and lemon in our drinks. We asked for bottled coke, but were served from a dispenser at the bar, which had to be changed. The lemon and blueberry sponge dessert was barely edible, and the sticky toffee pudding came without the custard we ordered, only to be corrected with a tiny pot of custard. It's no surprise that the restaurant was nearly empty. We regret not reading the reviews before booking a table and won't be coming back anytime soon.
