Contribute FeedbackNestled in a quaint corner of Bournemouth, this charming tea room has garnered a mix of rave reviews and some critical feedback. While many visitors celebrate its delightful afternoon tea, delicious homemade treats, and vintage ambiance complemented by nostalgic music, there are concerns about service efficiency and cleanliness. Guests have praised the accommodating staff, especially regarding dietary preferences, enhancing the overall experience. However, some diners have noted moments of rudeness and felt rushed during busy bookings. Despite this, the inviting atmosphere and scrumptious offerings make it a must-visit destination for both tea enthusiasts and casual visitors alike.
I cannot believe how disrespectful they were. There are no other words to describe it. I would recommend avoiding this place unless you want to be treated poorly.
I love this little tea room. The decor is so quirky and the owner is so lovely. I went to Steam with my friend as a treat for my birthday and we both had afternoon tea (one regular, one vegan) and they were both delicious. We left with very full bellies and having drunk more tea than I do in a month haha, the owner offered us refills of tea twice in our visit. The cakes and scones were homemade and perfect, and we had loads of sandwiches and a nice addition of a homemade sausage roll also. I would highly recommend this place as one of the best afternoon teas I've had!
Visited for my birthday with husband and friend. Lovely quirky vintage tea room. Cream tea was scrumptious and the double chocolate cake heavenly. Service by Amanda was friendly and attentive. A really enjoyable experience to be recommended.
Found this place searching on TripAdvisor during a weekend break in Bournemouth. Located a ten minute walk from our hotel it's small and quaint. The seating is upstairs with vintage crockery and a gramophone playing 1930s and 1940s music. Afternoon tea came with a generous amount of sandwiches and cake. Friendly service and fair prices. Definitely worth a visit.
I love love love this tea room. We have visited 3 times now and always had a great experience. The food is SO tasty with the owner making all the cakes every morning (amazing! . The best scones I’ve ever had (and I’ve had a few , sandwich fillings are generous and tasty. We are a no-pork household and the sausage roll alternative, a cheese and potato flaky pastry extravaganza, was served fresh from the oven and my mouth is watering just thinking about it. Plenty of food provide for the table and free tea/coffee refills. It’s a tiny place with only a few tables so booking is essential. Well worth the walk up from the town centre/beaches to enjoy afternoon tea.
