What e singh82 doesn't like about Indian Ocean:
One of the worst indian takeaways in Bournemouth! Do not waste your money when there are so many other nice authentic indian restaurants around. Their Paneer is actually Cheddar cheese and they had a cheek to tell me that it is pretty much the same!!! Saag paneer and mutter panner looked mush, oily and had loads of melted cheese. Keema was watery. Overall not good food and service is poorly. View all feedback.
Excellent service, quality of food and price ! We will certainly return as best tasting Indian food we have ever had! Staff welcoming and made our visit enjoyable, making a fuss of the children.
First night of our family Holiday we decide to have an Indian. Being of Asian origin I find myself always a bit more critical of Indian food. The waiter came over to us and asked how we liked our food, I asked what he meant by this and was advised that they generally cater for the western pallet, however, can accommodate a spicier taste. The food was very good, however found that it required more meat and less sauce. All the staff were very polite and ensured that we lacked for nothing. Can highly recommend this place if you like Indian food. Can recommend the king prawn dish but only got three large Prawns, feel for the price could have more just like the other chicken and meat dishes we ordered. Only criticism hence the 4 stars.
Despite what you are reading about this restaurant, it must have been reviews from the past as we are huge Indian food fans and this is the best Indian takeaway we’ve had in years! Will definitely be coming back.
I've just had my umpteenth delivery from Indian Ocean, and they just keep getting better and better. I don't have meat in my curries (I'm not a vegetarian), Veggie curries are usually cheaper than chicken or lamb and you don't notice the lack of meat. I've tried all the local curry houses, but I always come back to Indian Ocean. Most of the questions below don't apply as I have my curry delivered.
