Alth... read more I haven't visited in a few years, but I recently returned to this lovely, friendly village pub. It's a great spot to enjoy a drink and a meal with friends. Although the kitchen was closed on the day of my visit, the staff went out of their way to prepare some pizza and chips for us. We really appreciated their kindness. Thank you for making my visit special—I look forward to coming back!

The drink service was quick, but my pint came from the end of the barrel and had some sediment in it. The food was decent and beautifully presented, but not exceptional. The staff was friendly enough. Unfortunately, they had run out of my first choice for dessert, so I opted for the apple strudel instead. However, this was also served in the cardboard box below! The staff apologized for this, but then there was confusion when it came time to pay. Our bill had errors, including an extra dessert charge and a missing drink. Overall, we were somewhat disappointed, especially since we had heard great things about this place. We hope it was just an off day and would be willing to give it another try.
