What User doesn't like about Planet Wok:
I stopped at the wok planet because I wanted to eat asie. I read a lot of comments before I went and I was a little mixed up. The reception at the crate is not the hottest but it is not unpleasant. cashing before consumption can surprise in a restaurant but since there is only one formula and drinks are included, I don't see what it changes to pay before or after, so no negative point for me to have to pay before con... Went here whilst passing through. Do not stop, keep driving! Food was not nice or cooked properly. It was greasy and fatty. My partner also bit into fried food with raw chicken inside whilst noodles were still crunchy. Could not get out fast enough. Staff were also not particularly welcoming on arrival. One bonus is you can help yourself to your chosen drink from the fridge.
We had a very enjoyable meal here last year and made a point of returning when in the area again. Buffet food was hot and a very good choice of meat, fish and seafood as well as vegetables and salad. Something to suit all tastes. The food cooked to order was good, good selection of sauces. Plenty of deserts to chose from. The wine included in the price was reasonable, we stuck with the rose.
We were aeting here with a group of 7 persons veverything was well prepared and looked very fresh the showcooking is a extra so if you like to eat a lot for your mone come here and you get stuffed with goodies .
Came across this place on a stopover in Bourges. Decided to give it a go based on the overall good experiences of Chinese Buffets in the UK. Crikey I wish I had not entered this establishment! this place needs a visit from local food standards authorities! Firslty the lady at entering did not speak any english even though we asked if she did and she nodded yes, personally I don 't have a problem trying in French but always useful if the person on the other end can understand my 'Franglish ' attempts............. She sold us the most expensive option of the 'full complete ' at nearly 40 euros for two people. The buffets have some slight differences to how things are done in the UK (which again I have no problem with) you have the option of a ready cooked option or select your own meat/veg and get the chef to 'wok ' it up. So we selected some chicken, some veg and a sauce from the wok counter, off he went emptied the raw meat and veg into the cooking appliances then to my shock horror he put the cooked food back into the same plate the raw meat came off (with some raw chicken meat still on the plate) and handed it back to me........ what? serioulsy? not knowing how to argue this case in French we sat down and picked off the few bits on the top and after a few bites realised the flavour quality was pretty dire we then tried some ready cooked options but it was not good, this did not taste anything like the good quality Chinese outlets we have in the UK (the majority anyway). We swiftly cut our losses and left. So if you care about your health and enjoy good quality Chinese food AVOID this place. I have no idea how some local 'young ' people like eating here only thing comes to mind is they have no idea of how this food should taste and no idea about food hygiene. Good luck to them! although this place should be shut down in my opinion.
Super good only reproaches much more at the end of the service.
