Le Cercle - Bourges

Very high quality and innovative food in a setting that falls just a bit short of perfect. Service very attentive, with some English, despite a full house (largely French). Food intriguing in that the main course came with a twinned variant on its chief ingredient. We had the full course menu with wine (€85 per head) which was good value for what it entailed. Intriguingly, despite not having booked the 'taxi home' which was a free trip in an early 70s Citroen, we asked as we arrived whether it was available, were told it was booked, and were then surprised afterwards to be told it was waiting for us, driven by the chef. He was a great conversationalist - commenting on the pate de foie gras ice cream he noted that ice cream can be made with anything insofar as 'it is just frozen soup' - and actually came all the way back to the hotel to deliver the iPhone my wife accidentally left in the back seat!

Très créatif, entrée sur une variation de tomates inédite, service efficace, salle moderne (même si la décoration pourrait être allégée), une très belle expérience à Bourges

Tres bon moment. Cuisine tres bien. Belles saveurs et beaux plats.Service moyen. Nous nous attendions à'mieux.

The food is excellent, best in town, but... Prices of wine by the glass is exorbitant. (x7 the purchase price) The light bulbs are heating the clients in a very uncomfortable way. The dress code of the staff is ugly. The staff is much to distant and cold. I expected a lot more of this resto. Sorry

Nous avons choisi le menu club pour notre première visite , très bon rapport qualité prix , nous retournerons vite goûter les autres menus . Les plats sont très goûteux et les associations de saveurs recherchées , le service professionnel . Notre seul regret est la déco des tables quasi inexistante , aucun nappage ou chemin de table (dommage pour un étoilé tout de même ) alors que le cadre est très agréable.
