Le Verchere - Bourg-en-Bresse

We stumbled upon this place after getting off the freeway in the middle of a long drive. Filled with locals, working men, and friendly servers. The menu du jour (changed daily) is a real bargain: €14 for generous portions of appetizer, entree, and dessert. The blanket de veau was delicious!!!

We arrived 1hr before closing and they had closed the kitchen but the owners were very happy to cook a steak and chips meal for us. All fresh and well cooked and very quick and friendly service.

5 (including 3 children; 5 years for the oldest) in this very popular restaurant (and for cause!) we were very well welcomed and advised. all enjoyed with the menu of the day: dessert flat entry. more (for adults only! ) wine and coffee. in total cheap for such a quality service as smiling and friendly. how better to make the restaurant love to children?! thank you.

For a few days, every time I go to town, I eat the verchère at the brewery, located in front of the stadium, it is well served, and good, in addition the welcome is nice. the menu of the day is very correct there is parking around to park easily, brief good house. with a good atmosphere.
