Just back from the O Sud, nice place well kept, fish soup was fantastic, mussels Provençal ware good, my wife's chicken good too, but sauce very salty. Overall good experience the only thing that we ware disappointed was no menu available other than French, and the lady that served us didn't have a word of English View all feedback.
What Camille Picard doesn't like about O Sud:
We ate here after a day out exploring Boulogne and were made very welcome as the first guests of that evening's service. The restaurant was clean, tastefully decorated and the waiter was beautifully polite and helpful as we negotiated the menu. The food was average, not bad, but nothing particularly special either. I had a salmon pasta which came in an unexpected mild curry flavour sauce as opposed to the creamy sauc... View all feedback.
Only found this wonderful Restaurant by scrolling the web and chance. As it was a Tuesday evening many Restaurants were closed However what a find Lovely ambience, great choice of food The baked Camembert and the Fish were wonderful and filling hence we...couldn't manage a sweet !! Service was extremely good and the staff patient, helpful friendly and very efficient Would thoroughly recommend !!
Probably the smiliest service I've experienced in a long time (along with plenty of thumbs up). The food was good, and the 13 euro menu lunchtime seemed cheap with wine and coffee included. Not usually one for turkey, but it was done v well.
We went in for a drink and were so warmly welcomed, we stayed for dinner. Service was brilliant, friendly and patient with our very limited French. The menu was varied but not extensive meaning we had plenty but not too much choice. My husband had...“the Welsh” which is a local speciality, I had an amazing steak and pepper sauce and my girls shared a chicken burger which was served in. A croissant bun they loved it! Great atmosphere and fabulous food and service
5 of us went here for dinner. It’s reasonably priced with offers for 2/3 courses off the a la carte menu. Some of the party chose smoked salmon and some the assiette, which was 2 pâtés and a cheese....really good and tasty. Most of us...chose gratinee chicken which was very good. All washed down with a couple of bottles of cotes du Rhône for 30 euros each. Definitely one to visit
Didn’t realise that Bolougne was “almost” closed on Sunday evening for eating out, but thankfully we checked with Trip Advisor to see what was open. Our hostess welcomed us in, she did politely inform us that they were closing in an hour, but that didn’t...phase us, 2 x starters, house pate (fish), very tasty plus smoked salmon, both palatable. Mains: off course Moules Marieniere with Frites plus an beef steak hashe (glorified hamburger cooked too rare, but still very tasty. With a nice bottle of rose to wash it all down with. A very pleasant evening even though we were the only patrons in there. €66.50 for 2 courses plus wine, very reasonably
